Yabadabadoo...

Woot, the cable is back up ... in truth it is the only thing we lost for any length of time. We've had power and phone service almost throughout the storm. We are nearly through the worst - in fact it has calmed down enough that I slipped outside and did a quick tour around the house. I'm pleased to say that all the shingles seem to be present and accounted for. The north end of the lanai is gone, vacationing I imagine in east Florida. There is lots of plant damage, but the way things grow down here I'll just give 'em a hair cut and they'll be fine in a few months. I'll have some more pictures when the rain stops. Basically there isn't anything we cant fix, and certainly not enough damage to call the insurance company. The new house across the street lost most of its shingles, there are porta-potties scattered everywhere (for a while there I though two of them were gonna drag race down the street), the neighbor's basketball goal is down and I seem to be missing a bird feeder (oops!). Thanks for all the well wishes ... you guys have worked wonders. Now send 'em south, because Naples, Marco Island and other points south were not so lucky.
